Odontogenic Tumor, Stem Cell Biology, Organoid, Animal Model
Research Description:
My research focuses on odontogenic tumors, particularly ameloblastoma—a locally aggressive benign tumor. Our previous work identified LGR5⁺ ameloblastoma epithelial stem-like cells as contributors to resistance against BRAFV600E-targeted therapies. To further investigate the tumor microenvironment, we performed single-cell ATAC-seq and RNA-seq analyses, aiming to identify specific molecular targets. In addition, we have established ameloblastoma organoids and orthotopic mouse models to study molecular mechanisms in depth and to conduct preclinical drug testing. Our ultimate goal is to develop a drug screening platform and identify novel therapies for clinical trials, with the aim of advancing personalized precision treatment for patients.
